Day 1
Chandigarh - Chintpurni - Sheetla Mata - Jwala Ji
Night stay : Jwala Ji
Your spiritual journey starts from Chandigarh. Proceed to Chintpurni by road and drive for about 4 hours to reach temple of Chintpurni Devi. The temple of Mata Chintpurni, located in the Una district, is dedicated to Mata Chintpurni also known as Chhinnamastika Devi. The temple has derived this name from the idol of goddess Durga in the temple, which is without (Chhinnaa ) a head (mastika). According to Markandeya Purana goddess had a fierce battle with demons where two of her yogini emanations named Jaya and Vijaya thirsted for blood even after the battle finished. In order to fulfill their thirst goddess cut her head to make her emanations drink her blood.Here Lord Shiva is being worshipped with the name “Rudra Mahadev”. According to ancient scripts, it is believed that the goddess is protected by her consort Lord Shiva in all four directions. An interesting point is that all temples are almost equidistant to Chintpurni Shakti Peeth. In the North direction – is Muchkund Mahadev, in the south – is Shiva Bari, in the east – is Kaleshwar Mahadev and west direction – is Narayana Mahadev. During the festival of Navratri, throngs of pious devotees of the Goddess gather in the temple premises, hoping that their wishes will be granted by the Divine goddess. Visitors can make VIP Pass at the temple premises for Quick Darshan of Mata Ji. There is a facility for Senior Citizens above 65 Years Age for quick darshans and transportation by electric vehicle.
Seek blessings and drive towards Sheetla Mata located at a distance of 7 Kms from Chintapurni. She is worshipped as the goddess of disease prevention in Hinduism. Sheetla Mata is considered the youngest of 7 Sisters. She is mainly considered to protect against smallpox, measles, fever and other infectious diseases. The temple is located just 7 Kms from Chintapurni Temple
Sheetla Mata is considered to be a form of Mother Durga. “Sheetala” means - “cool or calming”, who gives relief from diseases like fever and burning sensation. Sheetla Mata is often shown riding a donkey. She has a broom, a pot (filled with water), a sieve and neem leaves in her hands. All these are symbols of disease prevention. Her body is shown with red spots, which indicates that she is capable of both bringing and removing diseases. The Saptami or Ashtami Tithi after Holi is called Shitala Ashtami. Sheetla Mata is worshipped to protect children from smallpox, measles and skin diseases and for health, peace and freedom from diseases in the family.
After darshan proceed for Jwala Ji Temple. The drive usually takes 1 hour. On reaching check in to your hotel and freshen up and later visit temple of Jwala Mukhi Ji. The Jwalamukhi Shaktipeeth is said to house the tongue of Sati which fell in the place where the temple is being erected. Jwala Ji Temple is located in Jwalamukhi town, Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the ancient temples in India. The temple is built against a wooded spur in the Indo-Sikh style, it has a dome that was gilded by Mughal Emperor Akbar. There is a mystic yantra covered by shawls and ornaments which is worshiped by chanting mantras. Here puja is performed in a phased manner and goes the whole day. Aarti is given five times a day. Shringar Aarti, Mangal Aarti, Madhyayan Kaal Aarti, Sayan Kaal Aarti and Shaiyya Aarti. The deity is worshipped by offering Rabri (thickened milk sweet), mishri (rock sugar), and seasonal fruits.
The main attraction of the Jwala Ji Temple is the natural eternal flame that burns in the temple’s sanctum sanctorum. This flame is said to represent the Goddess’s manifestation as the “eternal flame of knowledge.” The flame emerges from nine different points in the rock and is considered highly sacred by devotees.
The mystery lies in the fact that despite various attempts to extinguish or understand the source of the flame, it has remained burning for centuries. Scientists and researchers have tried to explain the phenomenon, but no conclusive explanation has been found. Some theories suggest that it could be due to natural gas seepage or underground coal deposits, while others attribute it to the divine presence of the Goddess herself. Day 2
Bagla Mukhi - Nagarkot Brajeshwari Devi Kangra - Chamunda Devi

In the morning after check out, proceed towards Bagla Mukhi Ji. The shrine is dedicated to one of the Ten Mahavidyas of the Supreme Goddess as per Shaktism. Devotees visit the temple with hopes of getting their wishes fulfilled, elections & cases won, exams passed or life otherwise to be happy and successful. It is said that anything asked for after performing homagni and yajna at the temple is granted. In essence, it translates to the deity having captivating and hypnotising powers in her face or herself which fights the evil away.
Later drive for about 1 hour to reach Brajeshwari Devi Kangra located at a distance of about 35 kms from Jwala Mukhi. The main deity of this temple is Brajeshwari Devi who is also known as Vajrayogini or Nagarkot Dhaam. Goddess blesses devotees in the form of Pindi. According to legendsr goddess fought with the demon named Mahishasur, during the battle she suffered from wounds and tried to heal them by applying butter over them. As a tradition, we find the temple decorated with a layer of butter during the festival of Lohri. Bajreshwari Devi Temple is one of the ancient Hindu temples located in old Kangra, Nagarkot, Himachal Pradesh. This temple is known for its great wealth, it is filled with gold, silver, and diamonds. Over the ages, It’s been plundered relentlessly by many Muslim invaders like Mahmud of Ghazni, Firoz Shah Tughlaq, etc. and later reconstructed and renovated temple many times. During the earthquake in 1905, the temple got damaged severely, It was finally renovated and we have a temple coated with white colour. Later we will drive for about 40 minutes to reach Chamunda Devi.Check in to your hotel and freshen up. Later visit Chamunda Devi Temple in the evening and you can attend "Evening Aarti of Chamunda Devi". The Chamunda Devi Temple is a shrine to the wrathful form of Goddess Durga or Chamunda who in Hindu Mythology is the symbol of female power. The idol of Goddess Chamunda in the temple is considered so sacred that it is completely hidden beneath a red cloth and is kept so always. Night stay at hotel in Chamunda Devi.
Day 3
Chamunda - Naina Devi - Chandigarh
Night Stay : Chandigarh
In the morning after check out proceed towards Naina Devi Ji. The drive from Chamunda to Naina Devi usually takes around 4 hours. Naina Devi Temple is located on a hilltop in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. One can enjoy riding to the top of the temple via road as there are many curves and then one needs to move by concrete steps. There is also a cable wire facility. During the period of Shravan Ashtami, Chaitra, Ashwini, and the Navratris thousands of devotees from nearby places throng to the place.
After crossing the main entrance gate, you will notice a grand Peepal tree on the left side. Just opposite the tree, there are idols of Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman. Upon reaching the main temple, you will be greeted by two statues of lions. The inner sanctum of the temple has three idols- Kali Devi on the left, the Eyes of the Shakti in the middle, and Lord Ganesha on the right. The entire stretch leading up to the temple is lined with small shops that sell prasad and souvenirs. The temple attracts thousands of devotees and can be very crowded on auspicious Hindu days. This temple is among the most revered temples in the country. The eyes of Devi Sati fall at this place. After darshans we will drive towards Chandigarh. On reaching check in to hotel for night stay.
Day 4
Chandigarh - Mansa Devi - Drop
After check out drive towards Mansa Devi Temple at Panchkula .This temple is the holy abode of Mata Mansa. Devotees horde this place to the tie a threat around the tree as it is believed that wishes of people come true by doing it. On reaching Chandigarh we will drop you at the railway station in the evening. Board your train & return back to your desired destination with blessings of Durga Mata Ji.
