Day 1
Jammu / Katra Arrival
Night Stay : Katra
On reaching Jammu Airport or Railway Station, we will pick you and drive towards Katra. The drive from Jammu to Katra is 44 kms and usually takes around 1 hour to complete. On reaching Katra, check in to your hotel room and freshen up. Later, get your Vaishno Devi Yatra Parchi from Shrine Board's counter or you can also book online by visiting Shrine Board's Website Link : Mata Shri Vaishno Devi Yatra Parchi . After getting Parchi you can start your Yatra.
Day 2
Vaishno Devi Yatra from Katra and return
Katra to Vaishno Devi – 17 Kms
Night Stay : Katra
In the morning start your holy yatra to Vaishno Devi. From Katra, you will climb one km to Banganga, where the goddess is believed to have stopped to drink water; then after a couple of kms you will reach Charan Paduka where the goddess stopped and looked behind while running away from the Bhairon Nath; 6 kms further is the cave shrine of Ardhkunwari, where it is believed she rested and meditated for nine months.
The last halt before the actual shrine is the Bhawan, where there are arrangements for wash- and- change, accommodation and for depositing luggage and valuables.
The vaishno devi cave is 30 metres long and just one-and-a half mt high. At the end of the cave are shrines dedicated to the three forms of the mother goddess – Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasarasvati. A rock just opposite these Pindees in the main Bhawan oozes out continuous natural water and is said to mark the presence of Lord Shiva in the temple.
According to legend, the mother goddess hid in the cave while escaping a demon (Bhairon Nath), whom she ultimately killed. After darshans return back to Katra for night stay.
Day 3
Katra to Dalhousie

Night Stay : Dalhousie
Check out from your hotel at about 8 AM and drive for about 6 hours to reach Dalhousie. The drive from Pathankot towards Dalhousie is very enchanting & you will be mesmerised by the magnificent views of Ranjit Sagar Lake. After driving for about 83 kms from Pathankot you will reach the beautiful hill station Dalhousie, located at a height of 9000 feet and rich in colonial architecture. Check in to your pre-booked hotel & relax. In the evening you can browse through shops at Tibetan Market located near Gandhi Chowk of Dalhousie for souvenirs or stroll at The Mall .Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4
Dalhousie Local Sightseeing
Night Stay : Dalhousie
After breakfast, get set to this picturesque town. You start your Dalhousie sightseeing with Panchpula; adorned with natural water pools and a monument built in the memory of Sardar Ajit Singh (Freedom fighter), Panchpula can be listed as one of the topmost attractions of Dalhousie. The spot where Subhash Chandra Bose spent plenty of time contemplating (Subhash Baoli) is to be visited next. Afterwards, offer sincere prayers in a popular temple of Dalhousie; Bhulwani Mata Mandir at Bara Pathar. Have dinner and stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 5
Dalhousie to Khajjiar

Wake up fresh in the morning and have your scrumptious breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast proceed for Khajjiar “The Mini Switzerland in India” this name has officially been given to Khajjiar because its landscape looks similar to that of Switzerland. Enjoy the lush green meadows surrounded by thick pine and cedar forests. At the middle of the foothills is the picturesque Khajjiar Lake, tranquil and serene. Later visit the temple of Khajji Nag & Pandav tree near the temple which has six shoots of same height representing five Pandavas and their common wife Draupadi. Day 6
Khajjiar to Dharamshala

The journey from Khajjiar to Dharamshala - McLeodganj is a picturesque adventure filled with breathtaking vistas and cultural immersion. As you wind your way through the lush greenery of Khajjiar, you’ll be surrounded by towering deodar trees and snow-capped mountains, creating a serene atmosphere that feels like a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
On reaching Dharamshala visit War Memorial, situated at the entrance point of Dharamshala. Built in the memory of the valiant soldiers who fought for their motherland, you can witness the names of war heroes inscribed here and the mere sight of war tanks makes it worth the visit. The trail through the pine tree forests and the hidden routes to them to visit the memorial is quite astonishing in itself.
Later visit Kunal Pathri temple, it is believed the forehead of Sati fell, hence it is also called Kapaaleshwari temple. There is a small rock (saucer or forehead shaped), on which there is always water, since time immemorial. It never dries, though it is used by the priest for goddess.When it is about to dry, there is rainfall and the rock fills up with water, through a small opening in the roof. While coming back from Kunal Pathri we will have stop over at Dharamshala Tea Gardens. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel in McLeod Ganj.
Day 7
McLeod Ganj Sightseeing

The vivid character of McLeod Ganj attracts many famous people, including country heads, filmmakers and diplomats from all over the world. In the area you will notice the Tibetan population and vibrantly robed monks, making it feel like another country. The Tsuglagkhang Complex is particularly fascinating, home to the Dalai Lama and the Namgyal Monastery.
Next explore the nearby Mcloed Ganj Market that is famous for Tibetan handicrafts and amazing eateries serving fresh and savoury dishes cooked with a tinge of Tibetan cooking flavours.. From McLeod Ganj we will visit the Church of St. John in the Wilderness. It is a beautiful church built in the neo-gothic style in 1852. The church has some exquisite Belgian stained glass windows. One of the Viceroys of British India, Lord Elgin, is buried in the grounds of the church.
Afterwards we will visit Dal Lake, you can go for a walk around Dal Lake. The lake is a picturesque excursion spot surrounded by Deodar forests. Nearby is a Hindu temple dedicated to Durveshwar Mahadev. Visit Naddi View Point and you can also walk out to the Waterfall from the temple of Bhagsunag. In the evening return back to hotel for night stay.
Day 8
Say good morning to the last day of your stay in Dharamshala. Begin it on a delicious note with a sumptuous breakfast and after check out we will drop you at Gaggal (Kangra) Airport. If you wish we can also arrange drop at Pathankot or Amb Andaura or Chandigarh Railway Station for your return journey.
